The Lucknowi Kitchen runs on one recipe — my mother's. She never wrote it down. It lives in her hands, her instincts, and a lifetime of Sunday mornings in Lucknow. Every single batch I cook, she is on a video call. Every spice. Every quantity. Every step. She doesn't let a single thing go unsupervised.
We started this purely out of passion. Bangalore is an incredible city, but it had no idea what real Lucknowi food tasted like. Not the restaurant version — the actual thing. Keema Kaleji cooked low and slow for hours, with whole spices toasted fresh and kaleji marinated overnight. The kind that fills the kitchen with a smell that takes you straight back home.
Because we know what it feels like to be far from home and crave something that no restaurant can replicate. That feeling of a real home-cooked meal, made with someone who loves you on the other end of a call — that's what goes into every box.
Word spread. Friends asked for boxes. Friends of friends asked for boxes. And now, every Sunday, a little bit of Lucknow finds its way across Bangalore.
